My boyfriend Luke and I had an awesome time on our boat dives with Jamie!! Checking out and swimming through the halls of the Sea Tiger was one of the coolest dive experiences we've ever had. Thank you for being so helpful and giving us a really great time!
Had a great dive with Nick as our guide! The team was easy to coordinate with for planning/reservations, the instructions were clear, and the dive experience was awesome! The Sea Tiger was a great experience to see, and Nick was very helpful with the pre-brief and guiding us along for the dive. Definitely recommend!
JT was a great instructor, helping me out a lot and even letting me try some new skills. Although my scheduling was messy and confusing, he was still very patient and accommodating. Furthermore, the boat and the diving equipment and site was all great. A overall exceptional experience.
Jamie was a great guide on our dive trip. He was very nice, helpful, knowledgeable, and patient with us. I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking to dive in Hawaii. Beginner or advanced divers will have a great experience with Jamie.
I do two tanks shallow reef with Nick and it’s was awesome ! Very safe and easy ! Not very far over Waikiki bay ! I recommend this company ! Just go on the shop to Moana hotel, for information ! Or call ! ?
I got certified here on vacation. Jaime is a great instructor. He is very helpful and supportive to get you through the process. At the same time he does not baby his students and makes sure you graduate skilled.
Finishing the course and getting that underwater handshake from him was an awesome moment.
Get certified in the warm water of Hawaii and do it here!
While visiting Ohau I managed I booked a days diving with O. D. A back in July (sorry took me a while to leave this review) and I could not have been more pleased I choose them As qualified diver I was looking for a relaxing dive while visiting the island and I was impressed by his professional and right from the get-go he made me feel at ease. I joined Jamie and one of his student for the day and as instructor myself how well he interacted with student and was very impressed by his teaching style and ability. I would dive with him again ant time. He has quite a sence of humor and really made the day a very enjoyable one.
Highly recommended, Jamie makes an awesome instructor which allowed me to have a fun and safe dive. We saw a lot of wildlife while learning about all the secrets of snorkeling. Overall it was an amazing experience that was very professional and enjoyable.
Dive master training
I just finished my DM training over at ODA. Although I had just six weeks to do all of it, including my rescue diver course, Jamie did his very best to put together a program that suited me and coverd all of it. He was very supportive. The course itself was hard at some points, which shows that he is taking his job seriously. Despite that, I enjoyed the course and its profesionality. I felt well cared about. If you plan to do a certification over here, I can definitely recommend doing it with ODA
Jamie was such an amazing instructor. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and really knew what he was doing. He took us to some amazing dive sites. We saw tons of loggerhead turtles, sharks, eels and so many beautiful fish. I would recommend this place to everyone. Will definitely dive with him before our trip here is over. ????
I cannot say enough good things about ODA.
While on a work trip a few months ago I signed up to get a collection of certifications done at ODA Scuba. I reached out to Jamie a few months later after completing the online learning portion and he was quick to respond. He was nice, accommodating and explained in depth what would be required of me and what I needed.
Jamie was extremely flexible of my weird schedule and we got done what I needed to get done plus some extra fun dives with one of his dive masters.
The instruction was amazing and with a personal touch. The boats were not crowded and dive groups were small. It’s Oahu so of course the Diving was great with amazing visibility and an extensive amount of wildlife. There was one particular curious turtle that followed us around for our hour reef dive wanting to look at what we were looking at. There were also some really cool polychaetes on one of the dive sites that were fun to look at. The diving equipment was top notch Oceanic and pinnacle gear what was well fitting and surprisingly new.
I did a dive with one of his dive masters, Frankie, and he was fun, helpful, and an amazing diver.
Overall, a great time spent with ODA in Oahu. It’s conviently located in the Ala Moana hotel, with expert instruction and a fun way to spend time and see the best of what Oahu has to offer.
I had an extra day at the end of a business trip so decided to book a dive. Despite the last minute booking, and being the only one going, out I went the next day. The professional and enthusiastic staff, coupled with good quality dive gear made the dive easy and highly enjoyable! With many easy to reach and good quality dives available off Honolulu I would highly recommend using these guys if you need to scratch the diving itch whilst in Hawai’i!!!
Folks over at ODA are fantastic! Instructors are well trained and extremely professional. Loved the fact that safety is their number one priority - they checked the equipment multiple times, and even provided a quick refresher to experienced divers! great knowledge of dive sites on the island and led the group to an amazing experience. Highly recommend ODA if ya'll wanna chill and a have a good time on the island. Also, did I say they're hilarious as well :D
Did 2 fun dives with them recently, including inside the Seatiger wreck deep dive, and had an excellent time! As an experienced diver I have seen my fair share of shoddily run dive operations and I really appreciated the high quality of dive equipment and professionalism of their dive masters. It's nice going out with people who are truly passionate about what they do and I will definitely dive with them again when I am next in Hawaii.
ODA Diving Center felt like a private diving experience. Many dive centers over book crowded boats and choose poorly placed dive sites, but not ODA. I booked a multiple dive package with Master Scuba Instructor Jamie. I was able to enjoy a great vacation in Waikiki, and also earn my advanced scuba & Nitrox certifications in a 1 on 1 setting, all while experiencing great dive sites. When back in Oahu I will choose ODA again.
I can't give a 5 for a business , that they're instructor (
Steve ) , aren't patient with a new/beginner, i will definitely not recommend this for new people. Don't waste you time fist and then money. . RESPONSE : Obviously that everyone will protect his/her business, there is nothing about MEDICAL, remember that everybody once starts. don't think it will be professional to argue my experience with this business. Remember: It's not about money, but it is about FEEDBACK, Thanks.
Great experience from the first phone call filled with questions that were answered to a great day diving. All the gear you needed was supplied and Jamie explained everything and was easy to get along with. Definitely will be diving with them on our next trip to Hawaii.
Did two dives with Jamie, my wife, and my dad. Both were amazing! It was my dad's first time in the ocean in nearly 50 years as a diver and it couldn't have been a better pair of dives. Jamie was an attentive but not overly hovering instructor. I would recommend Oceanus to anyone interested in really enjoying Hawaiian diving.
I loved diving with Oceanus. Jamie was professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. I've been diving for over 20 years (a recovering PADI instructor) and chose Oceanus to take my small group out for two afternoon dives. Turned out to be one of my best dives, ever, observing a whale shark at the end of dive #2. Highly, highly recommend!
I'm giving this business a 1 star for the Smart Alec I spoke to on the phone when I called looking for dive coats. Being in Hawaii where the water is warmer, the chances are slim that a dive shop would probably carry it, but I am not from here and I need a few for work this week and we are trying to find it here on the island and not order them from somewhere else. Also, I want to support local businesses here whenever it is possible instead of having to order from a corporate company.
The Smart Alec on the phone says no and when I ask if he has any other ideas locally, he says in a sarcastic tone "Yeah, it's called the internet." If I had been rude or demanding speaking to him over the phone beforehand, I probably would have deserved that response, but I called in a polite and respectful manner and instead got a condescending and sarcastic response. How incredibly disrespectful and rude.
