Open Water Scuba Diver

     As an Open Water Scuba student, you will gain an in-depth understanding of scuba diving and the ocean environment through self-study and practical training.  You will undergo an orientation, learn how to put together scuba equipment, practice diving in shallow water, then complete four ocean dives to complete the course.  Upon graduation, you will have earned an international scuba diver certification card recognized by all dive operations and scuba stores worldwide, testimony to all your hard work, dedication, training, and diving experience.

Course Prerequisites 

     Everyone is invited to join our class.  Scuba is a fun and relaxing sport.  Before signing up, students must meet the following requirements:  

• know how to swim;

• can do the flutter kick; and

• be 12 years or older.

*Minors 18 and under need a parent’s signature to take this course*


Training Schedule

Day one: classroom, confined water training, and ocean training dive.

Day two: confined water training, and ocean training dive two. 

Day three: training dives three and four. 

*Max student to instructor ratio 4:1.*

Standard Package – $325.00

Supreme Package – $425.00

• four training dives from boat


Tuition includes

• course syllabus;

• confined water training;

• four certification training dives;

• exposure suit: wetsuit;

• boots and fins;

• Buoyancy Compensation Device (BCD);

• regulators, submersible pressure and depth gauges;

• scuba tanks; and

• ballast: lead weights.

It does not include

• Personal Gear: mask, snorkel; or

• academic materials.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

(1) Dive Referralsscuba divers wishing to complete their NAUI or PADI Open Water Scuba Certifications with us are welcome to join in on our classes. Please contact our office to discuss time-frames and pricing. 

(2) Experienced Divers: combat divers, other work related, and people from countries without access to a certifying agency can receive certification through RPL. Please contact our office for further details.
